The Karekare is amazing and way better than Max. The sauce was perfect thick and delicious and the meat was fork tender. It was not the usual ox tail with tripe recipe but I actually liked it better. I like how the veggies were not mixed into the sauce.
Would definitely come back to try the other dishes.
I've been to many Filipino restaurants before, but this one is the best. We found this place called Tradisyon in NYC with my friends and my husband. The food and service we received from them, particularly Henry, was highly impressive. He did an excellent job. He is a very friendly and amusing person! I would definitely recommend this place and it's within walking distance of Times Square. See you soon Henry!🫶🏽✨
It was a small, quaint and cute restaurant. Very minimal seating. Thankfully they had a table for 4. The food was savory. The soup was a little more on the fish sauce side than we are used to. I enjoyed the garlic rice would have like more pork. The ratio from rice to pork is not balanced. Don't tell my mother in law but I loved the chicken adobo more than hers. The browning of the chicken makes it very appealing and the taste was delightful.
My husband ordered the sisig which he also enjoyed very much but he is not a fan of mayo based sauce. It was only added on top so he was able to eat it. I'm glad Filipino food is making it on the map.
We came here on a Friday night and did the Kamayan Feast for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. For $65/person (before tip&tax), we had a delicious spread of traditional Filipino food, 2 hr reservation and it’s BYOB. The staff John was so sweet and easy to arrange the reservation with. It’s a pre fixed menu of juicy meats, rice, and fruit but I wish they had lumpia! Come hungry and get ready to have some fun eating with your hands!
Amazing restaurant, the vibes, and even the owner is so nice :)) I just moved to nyc and ate here on my second day, loved it, and since then taken all my visiting friends and family. As a pinay gyal, the food is A++! Doesn't feel or taste commercial. Prices are very reasonable and the serving sizes are pretty big. I will definitely be back often when I miss home--need to try everything on this menu!
We had a great time celebrating my birthday with Tradisyon! Henry the manager was super patient and accommodating throughout the whole process. Highly recommend! If you have a group of friends you cannot beat the Kamayan (pictured below)!
This place is absolutely wonderful!! We booked the kamayan feast for my girlfriend’s birthday they were extremely accommodating with our requests. We had a few people that required special attention due to their food alefties and they took extra precautions for us. They truly helped make this celebration extra special, especially Henry who went above and beyond to make sure we are greatly taken care off. The food was spectacular, the whole experience is unique and everyone in our group loved it. Would definitely recommend!!!
I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was an extraordinary experience. The food was simply amazing, each dish bursting with flavor and creativity. The ambience was exceptional, with a perfect blend of cozy and upscale decor, creating a wonderful atmosphere for a special night out. Henry, our server, was incredibly accommodating, providing top-notch service throughout the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.
